1933 Swinegellauf ADAC Motorcycle Rally Plaque – M. Fleck & Sohn Hamburg

A rare and historically significant 1933 Swinegellauf motorcycle rally plaque, issued for an event held under the auspices of the Allgemeiner Deutscher Automobil-Club (ADAC) and organized by N.M.C. Hamburg and M.C. Buxtehude. This finely crafted relief plaque was produced by M. Fleck & Sohn, Hamburg, a well-known German manufacturer of medals and plaques.

The front design features a motorcyclist in motion, riding along a curved road, flanked by a hare and hedgehog, referencing the traditional German folk tale Der Hase und der Igel, which is closely associated with Buxtehude. The background prominently displays a swastika, a symbol reflecting the early months of Nazi rule in Germany.

The reverse side bears the manufacturer’s mark, confirming its authenticity. Three mounting holes (one at the top, two at the bottom) indicate that the plaque was designed for display, possibly as a participant’s or award plaque.

Dimensions: 7cm x 6.5 cm
