Antique Egidio Casagrande Modern Hand Hammered Brass Pitcher Italy

This hand hammered brass water pitcher from the early to mid 20th century was designed and formed by Egidio Casagrande in Italy. It has the Casagrande Borgo Trento Italia stamp on the bottom, along with 21. Egidio Casagrande lived from 1911 until 1962.

At the highest part of the spout, it is about 5 inches tall, and about 6 1/2 inches from the tip of the spout to the back of the handle. The handle has a nice curve and can easily accommodate 3 fingers to hold while pouring. The pitcher holds water without problems, so could be used as a vase.

It does not appear that this pitcher has been used as a water pitcher as there is no pale green patina on the inside, it is just a dark, almost black, color.  This pitcher is in excellent condition. We have wiped the dust off of it but have have not used any cleaning products that may change the look of this product. This pitcher has a beautiful curvy shape and profile.
