The Lord Elgin “Corsican” series was Elgin’s top-of-the-line in a very unique extra-thin 12s movement cased in either solid gold or platinum. The Corsican line was named and styled for French Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte (born on the island of Corsica). The bow and seconds hands are shaped in the silhouette of Napoleon’s famous hat.
