Hand-Hammered Copper Chamberstick by Roycroft, c. 1920s
This antique hand-hammered copper chamberstick was produced by the Roycroft community during the peak of the American Arts and Crafts movement, circa 1920s. Featuring a distinctive flaring base and bowl, the piece is carefully crafted with richly textured hammering and a graceful upturned thumb loop handle. The warm patina and signs of honest use enhance its period charm. The base is clearly stamped with the iconic Roycroft orb and cross, indicating origin from the esteemed East Aurora, New York workshop.
