A ceremonial First Model Luftwaffe Officer’s Sword used by officers and senior non-commissioned officers of the German Air Force (Luftwaffe) during the pre-war and early WWII period. The sword features a polished double-edged steel blade with the maker’s mark “E.&F. Hörster, Solingen” engraved near the hilt. The hilt consists of a blue leather-wrapped grip with aluminum wire binding, capped by a pommel adorned with a gilt sunwheel swastika. The crossguard is shaped into stylized eagle wings, with a central medallion featuring a swastika emblem. The accompanying scabbard is wrapped in blue leather with aluminum fittings and includes suspension rings and the original leather hanger.

This First Model Luftwaffe Officer’s Sword, manufactured by E.&F. Hörster of Solingen, is a stunning example of pre-war German ceremonial craftsmanship.
