Good condition and guaranteed original WWII German Luftwaffe Bayonet Knot (Faustreimen) featuring a silver – green – silver color combination. Colors are strong and overall clean with a few minor stains. All weaving is nice and tight. Strap is free of tears or other damage. A very scarce WWII German army dress knot that will make a fine addition to your collection alone or use to complete your bayonet or sword.
This came from a very old collection, black light tested, it is a rare original. It is guaranteed made before or during WWII. It is unissued with the factory tie string. The knot is in mint condition.
Condition Report:
- Strap: (2) Very Good – Still in its factory ties but shows some wear where the ties wrap around the leather
- Slide: (3) Good – The braided weave is still in good working condition; however, the silver coloring on the leather shows wear.
- Crown: (2) Very Good – Dark green with silver thread. Some discoloration visible.
- Tassel: (3) Good – Overall good silver wire wrapped threads. Some of the threads show wire movement and exposed under color. There is a 1cm x 1cm black discoloration.
